in 2009 virgin atlantic cabin crew climbed to the summit
of mount fuji in japan, to help raise money for a water
well projected co-ordinated by the south african based
charity '
water for all'.

the money was used to finance several water initiatives
including the installation of a 'play' well, the first such well
on the african continent.

the following series of portraits were taken of local
residence and school children who directly benefited
from the water well.

the work of '
water for all' plays a vital role in helping to
support some of the remotest african communities
through the installation of water wells and education
initiatives, helping to reduce the number of
contaminated water related deaths.
